Uxua Casa Hotel has been completed as a tribute to the area, with 9 distinctive casas built by local artisans and available for guests to enjoy for their vacations. The variety of accommodations at Uxua Casa Hotel ranges from traditional 1-3 bedroom fisherman houses opposite the town’s historic Quadrado, to a sleekly opulent but ecologically conscious tree-house constructed completely from recycled wood and floating above an extraordinary flowering garden. Extensive deluxe service available to all guests, while complete self-catering is available for additional privacy. The casas are complemented by a swimming pool, a spa, and reserved sofas at the nearby Uxua beach lounge. One need never be without the requisite hint of luxury, even in the middle of a secluded fishing village in a tropical setting. All 9 Uxua casas have been designed and decorated by Wilbert Das in collaboration with local artisans and artists, and boast features like custom-made and locally sourced furnishings and antiques, Bahian artwork/décor, full kitchens, indoor/outdoor living room, and indoor/outdoor bathrooms complete with custom-made wood, copper and stone fittings. Some casas have private gardens, plunge pools, Jacuzzi, hammocks, terraces, and outdoor seating on the historic Quadrado. Amenities in the casas include parking, iPod docking stations, high-speed WiFi, and much more.

Trancoso :
The village of Trancoso is one of the best preserved in the municipality of Porto Seguro, Bahia. Trancoso is really a special place full of charm and character. Founded by a Jesuit community in the 16th Century the village hasn’t lost its irresistible appeal, with today’s Quadrado Historico as the village’s lively heart. One of the main attractions is of course the fine white sandy beaches, like Praia dos Nativos, Praia dos Coqueiros, Praia do Espelho and Praia da Pedra Grande. The international airport of Porto Seguro is at about 30 minutes drive from Trancoso.
