Hart's Hotel was built in 2002 to an award winning design by architect Julian Marsh on the former ramparts of Nottingham’s medieval castle. The quality of the building and the location are important – more important still is the quality of personal service provided by a team of 40 staff. The light airy rooms are both contemporary and comfortable. Top quality beds are equipped with goose down pillows and duvets, and Egyptian cotton bed linen. Minibars are well stocked with quality wines and ales, as well as fresh milk for clients who wish to make themselves tea or (cafetière) coffee. According to independent guide books Hart’s is Nottingham’s top city centre restaurant. The restaurant opened in 1997 some 6 years before the building of Hart’s Hotel, and is located 20 metres away.
The location is perfect. A secluded courtyard 5 minutes walk from the Market Square with a quiet garden giving glorious views over the city and beyond. A short stroll from the city centre.

With the famed Sherwood Forest -the hideaway for the legendary Robin Hood- just north of town, righteous claims by locals that they house the county’s oldest pubs, the oldest surviving market in England, Market Square, which still serves as the core of the town, this city is simply magical. The Victorian cave system is home to the modest and the pre-industrial minded; the practice of tanning, converting hides into leather, continues to flourish underground. Your visit to Nottingham will surely be one that will not parallel any other medieval English experience.
