Se ti stai domandando perché i colori della bandiera greca sono il bianco e il blu, otterrai una risposta in questa meravigliosa isola, che fa parte del gruppo Egeo di isole chiamato Cicladi e si trova tra Tinos, Syros, Naxos e Paros. Il capoluogo dell’isola, Hora (chiamata anche Chora o Mykonos Town) è particolarmente affascinante ed è considerata come una delle più belle piccole città delle Cicladi. E’ rappresentativa dell’architettura dell’isola con le sue candide casette cubiche con il tetto piatto, porte e finestre blu, strette strade pavimentate, balconi fioriti e un’atmosfera pittoresca e magica. La tonalità di blu si intona perfettamente alle cristalline acque blu delle sue deliziose spiagge (c’è persino una spiaggia chiamata Paradiso e un’altra Super Paradiso) e con il blu del cielo. Questo incantevole paesaggio è come se fosse un sogno Egeo ad occhi aperti che diventa realtà. Altre accattivanti immagini di Mykonos sono il meraviglioso paesaggio montano, le bellissime spiagge, le piccole cappelle al cui interno puoi provare qualcosa di magico e di misterioso allo stesso tempo; I bianchissimi Cinque Mulini a vento (sul lato ovest della città) che rappresentano uno dei punti d’attrazione più riconosciuti dell’isola e che oggigiorno vedono più scatti di macchine fotografiche che grano, grazie all’unicità della loro estetica. E ancora…a nordest dei mulini a vento, l’area della città in cui puoi vedere edifici costruiti proprio sul bordo dell’acqua con i balconi sospesi sopra le fluttuanti onde è propriamente definita “la piccola Venezia”.
