Boutique Hotel de Cortes fue uno de los primeros hospicios de América, una joya del barroco mejicano y convertido en un hotel con encanto moderno. El edificio probablemente fue construido a inicios del Siglo XVII y unos años después la orden de San agustinos lo convirtió en uno de los primeros hospicios de América, donde los monjes eran acogidos antes de embarcarse en misiones para predicar el cristianismo en Las Filipinas. En 1780, como está marcado en la fachada, el edificio fue remodelado y se hizo un hotel.
