Casablanca
Casablanca is also named Dar el Beida in Arabic - White House - . It is a city which combines perfectly between tradition and modernity. Casablanca is located in the north-western tip of the African Continent and is the biggest city in the Moroccan Kingdom. Noted for its history dating back from the 10th century BC, the city is not an ancient museum. Among the most visible aspects of Modern Casablanca are the wide boulevards flanked by white, usually tall buildings. The original plan of this new French period town was conceptualized by French architect Henri Prost. Lots of Hispano-Moresque and Art Deco styles can be found at this part of town. Casablanca is home to the Hassan II Mosque, famous for its tallest minaret in the world. The port of Casablanca is not to be missed. Build as a fort in 1515, it is one of the largest artificial ports in the world. Lodging of all budgets can be found almost everywhere.
